Happy Holidays! by Jamie Harder

I hope you all are having a wonderful holiday and spending oodles of time with your families!  I am enjoying spending so much time with these two girls:

There is just so much goodness in Teresa's Santa's List Collection.  I mixed up the border strips with patterned papers along the left hand side and on the right of the picture, I mixed up die cuts and chipboard pieces.

I finished this layout off with a sprinkling of sequins…LOVE those sequins!!  And a couple of die cuts adhered with dimension dots and the button chipboard!

It has been an absolute pleasure designing for Teresa Collins - she is so crazy talented and truly a wonderful person!  I am filled with so much gratitude to have been part of such an amazing team.  xoxo  Lots of love to you all and to your families this holiday season and all the best in the New Year.

Christmas Cards - Jamie Harder

Christmas is quickly approaching …. yikes…. I am not quite ready!!!  I am still working on sending out Christmas cards.  Luckily, Teresa's Santa's List collection makes it a breeze to whip together a few cards!

I am absolutely smitten with the sequins in this collection!  For my first card I filled up a treat bag with sequins and layered that overtop of a few of the patterned papers in the collection.  Next, I added the joy sticker, button and snowflake die cut.  I just love the look of the sequins in behind!

I kept this next one pretty simple (easy to mass produce…wink wink).   I just love the bold red in this collection!

I had fun on this last card and decided to push myself outside of my comfort zone!  I am normally quite "linear" in my designs but this time, I decided to play with circles!   The mix of die cuts and stickers makes this so quick and easy.  The enamel dots are just the right touch!

Have a great weekend!  I am off to fight the crowds and get some shopping in!

"Today" - Jamie Harder - Family Stories

Happy Friday everyone!  Today I have a layout to share using the Family Stories collection ( I can seriously NOT get enough of this collection!!)

It has been a goal of mine to make sure that I get in my pictures from time and I am proud to say that I have been fulfilling this goal quite regularly now :-)  My daughters love set the timer on my camera, push the button and run back to join me for a photo…often we get quite silly photos that makes us laugh.  Taking the pictures has become a fun event for us and they look forward to it!  I love that!

I kept the layout quite simple..all it needed was a sprinkling of Teresa's fabulous embellishments!  I love the brads, the buttons, the chipboard and the die cuts!  It really makes scrapbooking so easy!

Thanks for stopping by today and I hope YOU are getting into your photos!!!

Love My Sweet Pig - Jamie Harder

Hello!  I am excited to share my layout with you today!  I used the Family Stories collection to scrapbook these photos of my daughter dressed up as a pig.  No, I am not early for Halloween on this one (hee hee) her school had a "dress-up as your favourite Charlotte's Webb character" day.  She had hoped to be Templeton (the Rat) but I convinced her to be Wilbur since I only had pink supplies on had:-)  She ended up LOVING her costume...especially the tail.  I love the chipboard arrow to draw attention to that!

I used dimension dots on the "love" diecut for a bit of interest in the title.  The hints of pink in this collection were perfect for my pig page paired with lots of neutral colors to really help my pig pictures pop!

Thanks so much for stopping by!

Santa's List layout with Jamie Harder

Hello!  Today I am delighted to share with you my layout using the Santa's List collection.

For the most part, I kept this layout pretty simple.  I used five different patterns from the collection and trimmed them to keep a nice white border around my page.  I added in only a splash of color here and there with the fun star and "remember this" stickers as well as the enamel dot.  I really wanted the star to be the big feature of this page.  I fell in LOVE with the sequins and thought it would be so splashy to use them to cover a large chipboard star I had.

Here is a close up of the star:

I started at one point of the star and glued each sequin on and then layered the next row over top.  It didn't take very long at all!

I know that the sequins are a big hit with so many of you ... I can't wait to see how everyone uses them on their pages!

Memorabilia Layouts by Jamie Harder

Happy Friday!!!  I love when Fridays roll around 'cause that is my scrapbooking day!  Do you have a set time when you scrapbook?  Or tend to seize the opportunity when it arises?

Today I am sharing a couple of pages from the gorgeous Memorabilia collection.  I think this collection is perfect for documenting families!  I love the focus it has on really capturing those moments.
I layered a few chipboard pieces on this layout and of course I always reach for the brads, enamel dots and my new found love SEQUINS (squeal) to add to my pages!

For my next layout, I cut out the word "moment" from the patterned paper to use as part of my title.  I love how it pops!

Thanks so much for stopping by today!  Have a fabulous weekend!

Masquerade Party Layouts by Jamie Harder

Happy Friday everyone!  I don't know about you but I sure have been enjoying every last bit of the summer sunshine!  Fall is just around the corner...and you know what that means?  Halloween!  I absolutely LOVE Halloween and I was thrilled that Teresa did another amazing Halloween collection.

The Masquerade collection has so many great patterned papers...I used 4 of them of on the layout below!!!  Because my daughter dressed up as a vampire, I decided to cut a few bats from the paper to use as embellishments! It is so great when there are so many fabulous designs on the papers that can also be cut out and used as embellishments, don't ya think?   I also love the stickers, the brads and the enamel dots...so fun!  But my FAVORITE embellishment is the treat bags!!  I know I will be putting treats in them for cute little gifts but they can also be used on layouts to!  I used the bag with the big H - halloween on it, as the title of my page!

The next layout features my youngest daughter - she is such a cute Wonder Woman!  I wanted to include the pumpkin she made on this layout since I thought it was hilarious she wanted to make marshmallow teeth! Ha!  I again had lots of fun mixing in patterned papers, stickers, brads and enamel dots.  This time I cut out a raven from the patterned paper to use as an embellishment!

Thanks for stopping by!  Enjoy your weekend!!!

Family Stories Layouts by Jamie Harder

Hi everyone!  It's Jamie with you here today and I am excited to show you a couple of projects I did using the A.M.A.Z.I.N.G Family Stories collection!

The colors in the collection are pretty fabulous!  For my "Butterfly" layout, I reached for the papers with a soft and pretty feel - using the backsides of "Noted", "Doily" "Flower" and "Anchor" papers.  I love the cute "Notecards" paper and cut out the "take note" from there.  I wanted to compliment the pink butterfly on my daughter's face and I found adding a few touches of pink did the trick!

I added my embellishments in groups of three.  Note the three butterflies (with the CUTE sequins in their center) and the cluster of three on the notecard of a brad, button and enamel dot.

The best part about this collection is that it can be used for any themed pages!  My next page features the photos I took of my friend and her husband when they were expecting.  This time, I wanted to bring in some of the richer colors to pop against the black in the photos!

There are so many embellishments in this collection that makes me feel like a kid in a candy store!  I think I have a little bit of everything on this page:  Chipboard, brads, enamel dots, die-cuts, stickers, and my favorite...the envelopes!!!  A perfect spot to tuck in that ultrasound photo :-)

Here is another closeup so you can see more of the delicious embellishments in more detail:

Well I hope you RUN to the nearest scrapbook store and pick up this collection!  You will LOVE it and reach for it over and over for all of your FAMILY STORIES!!!

Mixing collections when creating cards with Jamie Harder

Hello there!  Today I have a couple of quick and easy cards to share with you!  I love to mix up different collections so for these cards I used a mix of Summer Stories and Stationery Notes.

I just adore the bicycle journaling card that I cut from the Stationery Noted Journaling Cards Paper.  It is so cute!  I added a heart I cut out, a chipboard button and love diecut from the Summer Stories collection.

My inspiration for this card came from the cute "Hello" which is from Stationery Noted Polaroid Paper.  I then added a few embellishments from Summer Stories and my card was complete.

I love to make quick and easy cards and even more, I love sending them and making someone smile!

Smile, Layout by Jamie Harder

I love my daughter's smile.  But lately, I love it even more.  Both of her front teeth are wiggly and I KNOW it will not be long and they will fall out.  So now I find myself feeling like every smile she gives me, might be the "last".  She is my baby and I know how growing in those new front teeth will change her look....she will look older...more grown up.  Beautiful just the same; it is just another milestone her mother is not ready for!

I just ADORE the Summer Stories collection and for this page I had fun creating a banner using the diecuts, chipboard and brads.  Making the banner was easy!  First I adhered some twine across my page so it had a bit of slack to it.

Next, I adhered the "today" chipboard piece - eyeballing it to be somewhere in the middle.  I then used dimension adhesive and placed the diecuts on either side of the chipboard, keeping them somewhat even apart.

It makes me so happy to see so many beautiful embellishments on my page!

Love You...Love Summer Stories!

Hello!  I am so excited to share my layout with you today!  The summer stories collection has really captured my heart.  LOVE this collection!!   The colors and patterns of the paper are so fun and versatile.  And oh my ... the embellishments... I am giddy.  On this page I used the brads, chipboard pieces, stickers, die cuts and buttons.  How I adore them all!

Today I also wanted to share a fun tip on photographing kids.  I subject my children to the camera constantly and boy do they get SICK of me.  Ha!  So I now have to make sure it is FUN for them so that they WANT to have their pictures taken and I can happily capture the memories.  The night I took these photos, my girls were playing on the rocks.  Each rock had a name "Wiggly Rock" and "Snail Rock" and when they stepped on certain rocks they had a task...like "Singing Rock" where they sang a tune.  My personal favorite rock was "Picture Rock" where they sat to have their picture taken.  They sat for one quick photo when they arrived at this rock...this was my favorite rock!  So if your kids are like mine and don't always want to have their pictures taken, try turning it into a fun game!

Here is a close up of my layout.  I love the chipboard tag piece!!

Thanks for stopping by and I hope you have FUN capturing your memories!!!

Project Life - Jamie Harder using the new Summer Stories Collection

Hello everyone!  I am excited to share my project life pages with you today!  I love the new Summer Stories collection ... even though these pictures are from February :-) I think it works perfectly!

I cut out the flowers from the patterned paper and placed them next to my daughter's flower artwork she did!  I love how perfectly the enamel dots fit in the centre and they are flat so they don't add any bulk!  The "FEB" I also cut out of patterned paper to use as my title.  (My pages don't always follow a weekly structure so this way I can keep track of when they were taken!)

And here is a close up of the other side.  I love that quote!

Thanks for stopping by!

Two page layout by Jamie Harder using Stationery Noted

I had so much fun photographing my daughter the other day....she was in a super silly mood and could not stop laughing!  I love those kinds of laughter fits where you laugh till you cry and your stomach aches!  Feels so good!

Two page layouts are a great way to include lots of photos without having to make them much smaller. The photo on my left page is a 4x6 while the three others on the right page are 3x5.

I used the gorgeous stationery noted collection...oh my gosh I love, love, love this collection.  Teresa also manages to include so many beautiful quotes and sentiments into her lines that really add just what I am looking for on my pages.  I knew right away that I wanted to add "Do not let anyone ever dull your sparkle" so I cut that out and stapled it to the left side of my layout:

There are so many fabulous embellishments included in this line.  I think I almost used a little bit of everything:  chipboard (check out that chipboard tag piece - oh how i heart that), stickers, washi tape, die cut border, buttons, brads and enamel dots!

I hope you enjoy some laughter in your day!  Thanks so much for stopping by!

Happy Spring

It is so exciting that today is the first day of Spring!  Unfortunately, where I live, it is looking very much like winter is never going to leave.  We are covered in snow and there is more in the forecast!  So to cheer myself up, I made a few tags that felt like Spring!

I used my butterfly die-cut and added a beautiful brad to the center.  I was left with a fabulous butterfly in the negative so I decided to use that and make another tag!

I hope you are enjoying your first day of Spring with some sunshine!
