CHA Booth Setup Day Two

Today is the second day of booth setup for CHA Winter 2014 here in Anaheim California. This weather is so wonderful after all of the blizzards happening in Utah lately. I love being here with my daughter Gentry and all of the people I work with. I feel like I have the the most wonderful people working and supporting me. I feel so thankful and blessed.
This is Cheri Piles my design team lead and I walking into the convention center yesterday.

Excited to get our passes and start setting up.

We are booth number #2515 so come and visit us if you are coming to the show!

Setting up in our booth is a party!

Sean is my Sales Director and has been so Wonderful! He is the muscles behind the booth getting set up. Here he is putting all of the crystals on the chandelier. However, he is the most amazing sales person. He believes in me and gets my crazy passionate obsession to design. He has taken my company to another level in a economy that struggles. How blessed to have a thriving company and honestly, I need to give credit to Sean and so many people who have made this possible. I always say... it takes a village.

Gentry uses any opportunity that she can for some photos. She is so much like me! She has actually opened her own Etsy shop designing prints that she sells at youaremyhappyshop.etsy.com. I am so glad that she gets to come to all of the shows with me and help me so much.

Last night we got to go to dinner with Matt and Kayla and the kids and it was so fun! I miss seeing them all of the time. I know it sounds bad, but I want them to move back to Utah! Kayla is definitely such a cute pregnant woman. She is coming to visit the show on Saturday.

I can't believe it's already time for CHA. Make sure you visit the CRAFTWELL booth and see what I have designed and do the amazing make n take that will be from 12:00- 1:00 and again in the afternoon.
Also, TONIGHT is my workshop at TIMELESS TREASURES. I am so excited to see my friends. Okay... got to get back to decorating and designing the booth.

For the love of sketches! by: Sesil Cratin

Okay, I have to admit. I LOVE SKETCHES.  I have a friend Lori McClellan that designs for The Hen's Den. I discovered that she was the one that has created their sketches for their challenges on The Hen's Den blog.  So I had to ask a huge favor.  I asked if she could create some card sketches for me for this blog post.  And GUESS WHAT?!?!   She said YES.  So here are Lori's sketches and my CARDS I created using Vintage Finds!!!

For the first sketch I loved the banner and the layered look. I was so excited I was able to use the washi tape as my banner pieces.  Let's not forget the ticket borders, they were the perfect element on the bottom and the chipboard clock with the twine tied through the holes were the perfect accent to the card.  I could not believe how fast this card came together with the sketch.

The second sketch appealed to me because of the squares on the card.  I was drawn to the fact that I could use different patterns of the paper to create a striking card.  I used the 1" square punch and some foam squares to help give more depth to the card.  I love the glitter border and I layered the hexagon sticker to black card stock for my sentiment. I loved the way this card turned out.

Thank you so much to Lori McClellan and The Hen's Den for allowing me to steal their Sketch Designer to help me out on my blog post today. Make sure to watch for my next blog post, I might have more to share with you and more amazing SKETCHES by: Lori.... Just saying.

Oh... and make sure to check out our Facebook page at facebook.com/tcdesigns  We are having some Facebook fun!!!

Thank you for allowing us to inspire your creativity.
 Till next time! HAPPY CRAFTING!

Tell YOUR STORY FULL REVEAL

552305_10150925639485825_1648110437_n
Project by Jamie Harder- (papers, brads, buttons, trim, chipboard, and borders)

This line was inspired by doing my idea book this past year. I realized how each project was all about me feeling the strong need to "TELL MY STORY." I focused on telling the story... my story throughout the idea book. When I had finished all the projects, I wrote on the back cover..." TELL YOUR STORY." I knew instantly that I wanted to do a line that was all about helping others to tell the story in a beautiful and meaningful way too.

Memories Fabrications Card by: Sesil Cratin

Sesil here to share another quick card using Fabrications Collection.
I created this card in less than 30 minutes.

Using the 6x6 pad I used the Floral Garden paper as the main pattern paper.
Next using an embossing ink and powder I heat embossed the image to make it have a raised texture.
Then I added a punched border along with some bling and ribbon. Finally I added the Sticker with Therm O Web Foam Squares and added the pearls on the tag.

Hope you enjoyed my quick card using Fabrications Canvas Collection.
