A week in the life mini book with Jamie Harder

For my week in the life assignment, I decided to continue my work on my December Daily.  I am so happy I decided to do a December Daily this year (even though I have fallen behind) because it makes me notice the details and take more pictures of the daily small things.

Here is a week in my life:

I hope you are enjoying the holidays making beautiful memories with your families!

Taggin' A Week In The Life } Stacy Rodriguez

Hello everyone, Stacy Rodriguez here today with my A Week In The Life post.  For my week I did December 1st through December 7th.  I had created a December Daily book for the first time this year, so this challenge was perfect for me.  It helped me make sure that I noted and took photos of what we did everyday.

Once I sat down to create this project...I had it in my mind to create tags for my December Daily.  Once I was done creating them I wasn't sure if that is what I wanted to do anymore.  I may continue on with the tags for the entire month of December and then place them on a binder ring to create a little tag album, or hang them as a Holiday decoration on an advent frame.  Since i'm not sure on this I left my journaling spaces open and have not decorated the back of the tags yet as i'm thinking I may place photos on the backs.

Ok so i'm sure your ready to see my tags.  I do have a favorite and i'll let you know which one it is when it's posted.

December 1st tag-

December 2nd tag-

December 3rd tag- This is my favorite tag.  Hubby & I actually got to do a little shopping and have lunch together this day :)

December 4th tag-

December 5th tag-

December 6th tag-

December 7th tag-

I created all of these tags with the entire Christmas Cottage line along with bit and pieces of the Christmas Countdown Kit.

Thanks so much for stopping by the blog today and I hope that you enjoy my tags and re-create some of your own.

~Stacy

Christmas Week featuring Christmas Cottage by Yvonne Blair

Hi everyone!  I'm sure you are all in the middle of Christmas prep, parties, wrapping, baking or maybe even just relaxing and waiting on Christmas.  (I would be the one running around like a chicken with my head cut off, lol)
So, when the girls were talking about doing posts relating to  A Week In the Life, I was all over that!  I decided for my project that I would like to get a jump on the week of Christmas.  It always passes like a blur and I never have a chance to document the days leading up to Christmas. So, I thought if I could get the layout ready and slid into the page protectors...all I would have to do is take the pictures and add them in!  What could be easier?  I think this will work.  I have a list of pictures I want to take, such as a trip to Starbucks, the Christmas Tree with the gifts underneath, baking the day before, leaving cookies for Santa! (yes, we still do this, because I play Santa!!!) I would also like to get a picture of our little fur baby Roxie laying under the tree among the presents (which she absolutely does).
So I took Project Life and intermixed A Week in the Life.  I am ready and waiting to document Christmas week!  SO fun, so easy and one more thing I can check off my list, woo hoo.
Here are a couple of the close-ups.  I stapled each number on so that I can tuck the pictures right under their corresponding number.  I also layered the flower die cuts from Christmas Collage to give it some dimension.
(and I can't seem to make a layout without a doily, lol)

Here is the double page layout.  I had to take it out of the sleeves because of the glare, but I think you get the point.  This is my favorite Project Life layout.  I have a ton of these babies ready to go for 2013.  I love being able to add small little pieces and have them come together as the big picture!  Fun...this definitely got me ready for my goal of Project Life for 2013!

And finally, I wanted to make sure Santa new I've been very good this year!  I'm hoping for the Fuji Instax to help with Project Life!

I hope you all have a very happy holiday, Merry Christmas, Happy Hanukkah or whatever season makes you sparkle, wink.  See you in 2013!!!
Supplies used:
Christmas Cottage papers, Christmas countdown kit, Christmas Cottage Washi Tape, Christmas Cottage Die cut flowers, Christmas Cottage Chipboard embellishments.

Christmas Countdown Memory album kit by Cheri Piles

Woo Hoo, I am just loving Christmas books!! Yes, this is number #5 of six books that I have made this season. I tell you, I would be hard pressed to pick a favorite because I love them all for different reasons!

This countdown book is a kit, it's called the Teresa Collins Christmas Countdown Memory album kit and it comes with all of the pages, tabs, tags, die cuts (tons and tons of them), stickers, envelope and BINDER! It's so fabulous!!

Ok, so if you follow me at all I of course had to change it a bit so I started with some ink.... Imagine that!
So I pulled everything out and started inking in distress ink: Worn Lipstick - Now I did this lightly, just wanted to tint the outer edges of my pages and all of the die cuts. Then I went back and added MORE ink - this time I used brushed corduroy around all of the edges of everything.

But you know... It just wasn't enough for ME... soooooo... I went back again and added cream colored PAINT to all the edges of the binder and all of the pages and all of the larger die cut embellishments...

Then as I was layering I decided to start adding flowers, and I thought they were to plain for my soft pink but vintage book... So I glazed all the creamy white flowers using glossy accents - Yes, I had to wait overnight for them to dry real well. It was worth the wait!

I love the creamy papers combined with the reds and a hint of pink! The green sticker sheets with numbers were just the perfect touch for a little contrast!

I'm a big fan of these pages in the book, There are so many fun shapes and edges!

I also used the washi tape on many of my pages from the Christmas Cottage. Such a great touch!

So, the next time you have a kit, don't be afraid to change things up and go for it! There are no rules!
Have a great week!!

Ask And You Shall Receive

Hey there everyone Stacy here today with a fun post for you.  About a week or so ago we shared a couple images of my December Daily/ Countdown To Christmas mini album that I created.  Some of you were asking about instructions with photos to recreate this.....you will want to gather your goodies because you will are going to be able to do just that.  I have typed up instructions along with photos of each page just for you!!  You will need some sort of chipboard for the covers, or create this album and put it all together inside of the red binder book that comes in the Christmas Countdown Kit.  Grab some ink, black cardstock, ALL of the embellies and paper from the Christmas Cottage collection and get ready!  Let me share a few more photos here with you.

Ok so as promised HERE is the link to the instructions and photos.  Have fun and I hope you enjoy creating this December Daily mini album.

Christmas Countdown Kit by:Stacy Rodriguez

I'm super excited to start filling in my Christmas Countdown this year.  I fell in love with the Christmas Cottage line along with all of the goodies and die cuts in the kit, mixed the two together and came up with a fabulous way to document this December.  This is my very first Christmas Countdown I have ever created.  Inside of this album there are 25 pages all different sizes and shapes.  Through this album there are plenty of pockets for photos and tons of journaling spots.
I love a very think mini and this one nails it!  It is 3 1/2" thick :)  I used binder rings to hold this together.  On the binder rings I have tied on lots of ribbon and embellished with lots of goodies from Teresa's previous blingage line.  I must say the combo of the kit with all of the paper and embellishments from Christmas Cottage makes this project so easy to create.
