Fun Times by Stacey Michaud

I am here today sharing a new layout using theFamily Stories collection!  I decided to incorporate lots of chipboard on this page and want to share some tips with you!  The Family Stories collection has a great mix of soft colors with a pop of navy!  It is so pretty!

The chipboard sheet has so many cool elements!  Just look at those colors!  Some elements are bold and others are small.  I recommend using a mix of different shapes, sizes and colors.

I incorporated the large black and white film frame onto my page.  I wanted it to stand out so I placed pink and white paper behind it.  It gives a larger presence and has very straight lines.  I used it as a place to rest my smaller, circular numerals.

Then I started embellishing under the photo.  I added several chipboard pieces such as the pink flower cluster, the pink arrow and the Darling tag.  I layered the flower with a hand cut blossom because it is really soft and pretty!

Notice how I incorporate small, yet impactful bursts of orange.  I placed a large pop of it near the photo, using the Today die cut ticket.  I bring the eye directly to that side of the page.  I then placed teeny tiny orange enamel dots on the page.

Chipboard is one of my all-time favorite embellishments!  Be sure to mix your chipboard up on your next page!
