You Are My Happy Layout - Leslie Ashe

Hi everyone!
It's Leslie here today sharing a layout I made using Teresa Collins
brand new mid season release:  You Are My Happy

in fact...my layout is titled just that:  You Are My Happy!

The colors and design in this line are absolutely beautiful!
Pinks, whites, blacks and the amazing kraft color...divine!
Some of my very favorite colors to create with right now.

When I saw the paper with glasses, along with the chipboard
embellishments & stickers I knew the PERFECT photo to use for my project.

This sweet little girl is my niece, Presley. She LOVES to play with her
MeMe (my sister, her grandmother)'s reading glasses. We call her
Mini "ME" when she does this. Isn't she DARLING? I love that baby girl.

I decided to use A LOT of the You Are My Happy die cuts
from the collection as my background for my tiny photo.

First let me tell you how I built my easy to recreate page:
-I trimmed a corner triangle from one of the papers in the collection
&  added to my top right corner.
-next I trimmed 2 more strips of different papers in 1.5" and adhered under
 the corner, going down.
-next, I used one of the border strips and 3D adhesive to make it stand up
just under the strip of paper above
-then I used a small border strip and added it to my 2nd strip of paper
-I trimmed another strip of paper and added it just under the 3D strip
-next I adhered my photo to the book card die cut, added the chipboard
 glasses & word "true" above
-I cut the die cut tag (with the cut out heart) in half & used the top
half under the doily die cut, adding my smaller photo with the
polaroid frame die cut to the top & a sticker just above.
-I glued the die cut "2" to the left side of the larger photo.
-using a liquid adhesive, I added the flags to the top of the smaller
 photo
-I added die cut banners to the bottom & a flag on top just under smaller  photo
-then I added the bottom half of the tag I cut above to the bottom center of my layout,
layering the flower die cut, words, word stickers, another pair of glasses, some
sequins, epoxy dots & buttons as my final touch.

several steps, but easy to do steps, so you can make this layout for yourself.
I hope you have fun recreating & show us on the Teresa Collins FB page!

Thanks so much for letting me share with you today.
I hope you have a wonderful day,
