The day after Thanksgiving our family puts up all of the Christmas decorations. It takes a full couple of days to get everything in it's place and this has been the tradition since the girls have been born.
One of the things Ellie loves is to put the star on the top of the tree and since she is not tall enough Daddy always has to help her.
This year I was able to catch these two in the act. Usually I turn around and the star is already on, but this year I was ready and waiting for these two and the magical moment they share.
Get more from your masks! Usually a "mask" is used as a misting template but for this layout I used it as a stencil. I traced the sunburst mask onto the patterned paper and cut it out. I then re-assembled it onto another patterned paper.
I wanted to add subtle touches, a finished effect to the "rays" and inside the banner stamp so I used a lot of stitching in order to make everything stand out. Using the amazing chipboard, stamps and rhinestones gave it the final "magical" feel and the ribbon tied around the photo just like a present!
Wishing you a wonderful holiday season.
