Hello everyone Stacy here, hope you are having a wonderful week so far. Today I want to share with you a fun way to display those Holiday photos.
You can gather all of your goodies such as the Christmas Cottage paper line and embellies, Xyron machine, ribbon or twine, and the blocks or paper mache boxes to alter.
I used wooden blocks that are about 2" x 2" in size. I used three of the pattern papers from Christmas Cottage and cut 6 pieces to 1 3/4" x 1 3/4". I inked all of the edges with Ranger Vintage Photo distress ink, then ran them through my Xyron 5" machine. This makes is super easy to stick the paper on the wooden blocks.
Next before I placed the paper on the blocks I actually inked all of the edges of the wooden blocks. Once that was done I simply peeled the paper off and placed them on all sides of the blocks.
Now it's time to assemble and embellish. First before I stacked the blocks on top of each other I added some of the chipboard stickers, and washi tape and a brad to the blocks. Once that was done I assembled the blocks and it was time to decorate the top block. I found these super cut clothespins at Ben Franklin and the colors were a PERFECT match to this paper line. I actually went looking for rustic jingle bells for a different project so I picked up both :) Here is the finished project.
The memo pin at the top to hold the photo is a Idea-ology pin. I can't wait to get a great Holiday photo while decorating the tree to display this year.
Here are a couple of close up photos for you.
Thanks so much for stopping by the blog today. This is a super fun and easy project to make...a perfect gift for a friend!

DeleteJust think Xyron machines are the best thing since sliced bread, make crafting such a joy! Love your idea, so creative! Did you find the clothespins already with the words on, or did you stamp them? They do match perfectly with the Christmas line! Hope you create some memorable photos to display!
ReplyDeleteThanks so much for you comment on my Christmas photo holder. I did find the clothespins with the words already on them.
