Winter White layout by Stacey Michaud using Everyday Moments

I love one of the new trends I am seeing in scrapbooking, muted and white on white layouts.  I have tried my hand at it a couple of times and decided to try it again using the new Everyday Moments collection.  I thought the white on white would work awesome since my layout includes a photograph that was clearly taken in the winter.  Cute hat and puffy coat certainly reminds me of snow!

The first step I took in creating this layout was to cut the rectangular grid from the calendar paper shown below.

You will notice the grid minus the days of the week as the center base for my photo and embellishments.  I kept the remaining sheet of paper because I wanted to use the blue border for some pop.  I simply cut a piece of white cardstock to fit just inside the blue border.

I then decided to add some pops of color mainly along the right hand side of the layout.  It was super easy to accomplish since I combined a variety of die-cuts as well as some handcut images from the Collage paper.  I also included the striped flag banner to bring the eye to the photo.

It was so easy to add journaling...I simply wrote directly onto one of the journaling spots from the die-cut sheets.

I incorporated the soft yellow and turquoise in several places to create some subtle contrast!  I love that this collection can be used for so many subjects!  Even white on white layouts!
