Guest Designer Marit Mittag-Chwalczyk

Today we have a special German Guest Designer Marit Mittag-Chwalczyk!

Here are some pictures of her project using Fabrications!  I love the simplicity of the mini album.

We asked Marit a couple of questions to get to know her a bit better... this is what she had to say:

What is your scrapbooking style?
I love minis and layouts with a clean, modern style but with an elegant, whimsy twist.

How did you start scrapbooking/card making?
I started in 2007 with an album as gift for my mom's 50th Birthday.  I have been on a design team since january 2009.

What influences your designs?
I love browsing through magazines and pinterest and have a crush for typography, so this is the biggest influence in my work.

How long do you spend working on a layout or card?
A layout doesn't take longer than an hour, but i prefer to make an album from start to end in one sitting so this can take a really long time, sometimes until the early morning hours:)

What does your work area look like when you are working on a project?
It looks like some of my supply baskets have exploded :). But I like to organize and clean so after the project is completed it will be nice and tidy.

What is your favorite color combination?
I love the basics, so white, kraft, black, brown or red will be in most of my layouts. From there I add more colors but nothing to loud or busy. Instead of to much colour I love to play with textures and different materials. I love brads, embossing, tags and die cuts to add accents to my pages and albums.

Do you have any other hobbies?
I love to cook, quilt and sew and blog about scrapbooking, quilting and some of may recipes on my blog www.tagfuertag.typepad.com. By the way: 'tag für tag' means 'day by day' in german.

Thank you Marit for being our guest designer today on the Teresa Collins Design Team blog.  Please visit Marit's blog and tell her you found her from the Teresa Collins Design Team Blog. Send her some love for us.  THANK You again Marit!
