Teresa Collins Design Team - Getting to know Yvonne Blair

Yvonne Blair
We are so excited for you to get to know team member Yvonne Blair! We asked Yvonne a few questions so you can get to know her and this is what she had to say:

What is your scrapbooking style?
I would say I lean toward shabby chic.  I love to rough things up a little bit by distressing but leaving a sophisticated feel at the same time.  I love using the unexpected such as doilies, book pages and shipping tags.  It can also depend on what product I am using. Different products inspire me different ways.
How did you start scrapbooking?
I have always had a love of working with paper, from the time I was very young I would decorate things with wrapping paper and cut up greeting cards, make my dolls houses out of shoe boxes and so on.  I "officially" started scrapbooking in 1997.  My daughter was about 2 1/2 and I wanted to put all those memories and pictures someplace that we could enjoy them.  Once I started "playing" with paper again I was hooked.  I absolutely love looking through those albums and reminiscing with my daughter.
What influences your designs?
Everything around me...I can find inspiration anywhere.

How long do you spend working on a layout?
I spend about 1-2 hours on a layout. If it isn't working for me, I will set it aside and move on to another project.  I have been know to have quite a few different projects going on at the same time!

What does your work area look like while you are working on a project?
Clean and organized? Messy and all over the place? It starts out clean and quickly becomes very messy!!! I usually start with a bunch of product spread out in front of me and pull from that inspiration to create my projects.  When I get done with whatever project I am working on it usually looks like a tornado passed through my studio, lol.

What is your favorite color combination?
Pink and Black of course!  But I really love all color!

Do you have any other hobbies?
I love photography, home decor, and shopping.  Is Facebook considered a hobbie?  LOL.
