Santa Love by Stacey Michaud

Welcome to Christmas in July!  Teresa is a pro at creating amazing Christmas collections and one of her newest, Candy Cane, lives up to expectations!  It is full of greens and reds with gray and tan hints!  Awesome!

I used several of the new elements to create my page.

I mixed a white cardstock background with the printed white paper along the bottom.  I added in the diagonal stripe paper along the top and the bold red where the two whites meet.  I wanted to use the plain white on top because I knew I would be clustering lots of elements and I wanted them to pop.

I added the tan pattern from the 6X6 pad to give my photo a place to rest.  Then I started layering.

To create the large, dimensional tag, I started with a new wood veneer circle shape. These are bold and beautiful!  I placed a ready-made tag right on top of the wood, using one additional tag underneath so the Merry Christmas would show.  I layered the Happy Holidays sentiment that is in the ephemera package on the top, placing a brad between the candy canes.  I finished it with the twine.  Before I put it on the page, I added the green swirl from the ephemera package.

I wanted to connect the tag to my photo so I used the Tis the Season sentiment, topping it with chipboard elements.  I placed on tiny enamel dot next to the 25.

To balance out all of the top heaviness, I created a vertical line down the page.  I used the Joy tag from the ephemera package as the boldest element.  I then scattered buttons and enamel dots.  I used the small, red sticker to add a touch of color to the bottom.

The variety of goodies in Teresa's collections makes it easy to add so much detail to pages in a short amount of time!
