Something Wonderful Cards - Melissa Phillips

The Something Wonderful collection, is just that, something wonderful!  I couldn't wait to dig into my supplies and start creating.  I have a couple of cards to share with you today using this lovely new collection.

For fellow card-makers out there, I have found that the die cut tags are essentials!  They create the most perfect base from which to build your cards and center your focal point so easily.  Here I've used the "Memo" die cut tag and then layered on a die cut label, cardstock sticker, and a bit of decorative tape across the bottom.

I always find it so hard to select which decorative tape I want to use on my Teresa Collins cards, because I love them ALL!  But for this card I selected the decorative tape that resembles a road map. I used paper from the 6x6 paper pad to create a scrappy flower consisting of paper and trim and topped with a brad from the Something Wonderful Collection.  A chipboard button at the top of my tag finishes everything off and ties the colors together in this sweet collection.

My next card uses many of the same elements, beginning with a die cut tag and embellished with die cut flowers, cardstock sticker, and decorative tape.

The tape shown here on the right is from the Something Wonderful collection and is irresistible, so hard to choose a favorite, but this many just be mine :).  Another brad placed in the center of my layered flower brings in a pop of yellow, which you'll find throughout this collection as well.

The cardstock stickers are another essential for card-makers as they can be used very easily to convey the meaning you'd like presented with each card.  Love 'em...and love those tiny enamel dots too.  Ever since my pink Xyron/Teresa Collins stapler arrived, I haven't been able to put it down.  I love attaching items to my card using it, as shown above in this card, and on my first card too.  Quick, easy, and adds extra detail.
Thanks for stopping by.
