Hi Everyone! Dedra here to share a layout using the Santa's List Collection. This collection will get you in the Christmas spirit for sure.
To create this layout I used leftover paper scraps from my other projects. I used both of the red and white striped papers just as they were cut. I moved them from top to bottom to see which orientation I liked best.
Once the orientation was good to go I used another striped border piece to overlap and tie the other papers together. Adding the snowflakes, die cut cardstock pieces, stickers, enamel dots and a little bling was subtle and simple enough that I felt the photos took center stage in this one.
I have a confession, I have always believed in the saying that sometimes mistakes end up adding an unexpected element to your projects. That is exactly what happened in this layout, even though it was small, it still kind of stressed me out initially.
If you scroll back up and take a look at the star cardstock sticker to the left of the layout I had to put something there because I was trying to use my trimmer to cut all of the layered pieces and it totally crunched and chewed that striped border piece. You should have seen me trying to figure out what to put there to cover it up, lol!
I always love to hear the stories of other disasters and how they were "creatively dealt with!"
Do you have one you could share?
