Hello everyone, so happy that you stopped by today. What do you do with all of your scraps after you are done creating a project? Do you save and store them or throw them away? I always try and keep my scraps of paper with the collections that they go with. Sometimes when I am done creating with a collection....well scraps are all that I have left. This is a good thing because that means that you used most of that collection and not a lot went to waste.
Today I'm sharing a home decor project with you that I made with some of my scraps from the Fay & Away Collection. My daughter has a couple of glass containers in her room on her makeup table that she stores her brushes in. I wanted to give them a little make over for her. I think we picked up this glass jar for around $1 at the dollar store, added some of the glass beads in the bottom to help so that the brushes stand up. I had some lace ribbon that I made into a bow and grabbed for my bag of scraps. I created all three of these roses using 15 pieces of scrap paper that were about 3" x 3" in size.
I placed these roses on the glass jar with a hot glue gun. Once I had all of the roses on there and then added a little bling around them.
Here is a little close up of the flowers.
I think I may alter one of these for in my scrap room to store my paint brushes in.
Thanks for stopping by today....remember to save those scraps!! They are perfect for making flowers to embellish things.
Wow. Gorgeous!
