Valentine Cards by Rachel McAffee

Hello friends of Teresa Collins Designs!
Valentine's Day is just two days away! Have you made your Valentines yet?
If you haven't, I've got a couple cards here to get your creative wheels turning.

I love the combination of red and aqua with a touch of yellow. The new Memories collection has these beautiful color combos that are so fun for Valentine cards.

"Bee Mine" (see the little bee at the bottom? so cute!) is a card that uses a cut out doily as the base. I then cut out hearts in red and aqua and layered them on top of the doily base. I tucked the red swirl and bee die cut behind the heart and added a few embellishments of enamel dots and brads to finish the card off.

This next card uses the aqua flowers paper from the Memories collection as well as another cut out doily...LOVE that doily paper! I adhered the doily to the corner of the card, added a little envelope (from the Stationary Noted collection) on top and layered the card with a heart, ribbon and a brad. The little "Always" and "Love You & Me" sentiments are actually from a border strip that I cut into a few pieces. That's one of the many things I love about the border strips, you don't have to use them as borders!

I hope you enjoyed these Valentine cards using the gorgeous new Memories collection.
                                     Have a wonderful Valentine's Day!
