Ever play that game when you look up in the sky and see what form the clouds take on? It is fun to let your imagination run wild as you spot a dinosaur or a dog!
I had such a moment using the Tell Your Story line. Except it was opposite. I saw the clouds in a shape. The shape I am referring to is one of the Paper Flowers.
Here is the thing. I discovered the clouds totally by accident! I took a large Paper Flower and attempted to cut it in half. Except, I was all sorts of crooked. But what was left in my paper cutter made me giddy. It looked like a cloud...a flat bottomed cloud.
And a design element was born.
I wanted the layout to have a playful feel since it is about two children under the age of seven. The clouds add that just right touch of whimsy. Once I realized the happy mistake, I cut three more!
To add texture, I placed some clear buttons from the collection onto the clouds. Along with a playful theme, I wanted girlie, diva-princess touches. The Medallions are perfect for that! I wrapped some twine around one to make it extra pretty!
Either way, it works!
