As you know, I am a fan of home decor. I love this altered cigar box used as a clock. It sits perfectly on my book case. I started with a blank cigar box and drilled a hole in the center for the clock mechanism. Then started wrapping the box in my favorite paper from the collection - Black Damask. I created a square frame around the front edge using Orange Damask paper.
I drew out a diagram of a clock and cut pieces from the Vintage finds paper in the pie shapes to create the time slots on the face of the clock, before adhering them I inked around the edges to help showcase each piece. I cut the numbers for the face from the "Numbers" paper and adhered them using Pop dots. Spray paint a round wood circle black and glue onto on a black button to create your own finial for the top of your clock.
Once you are done creating your face for your clock spray paint your clock hands black and put your clock mechanism through the hole in your cigar box. The cigar box is perfect to hide your clock part on the inside and gives your clock depth.
I hope this inspires you to "think outside of the box." ✿
