Father and Daughter Layout by Stacey Michaud

Father's Day is coming up soon and in celebration, I am sharing a Father and Daughter layout today.  It is perfect timing because we just had our first Father/Daughter dance at my Ella's elementary school.  It was so precious so see her dress up and share a special night with her dad.  He bought her a corsage and put on his formal suit, even though it would be 90 degrees in the gym.  In the process, I caught some priceless photos.

Photos that called for soft colors to help them pop.  Photos that needed themed die-cuts to tell a story.  I turned to the new Sweet Afternoon collection to help me document this event.

I wanted to keep the overall design simple, yet intricate.  Even a bit delicate.  I used one of the new Sweet Afternoon Stamps to place the No. stamp on the tag.  I also mixed collections by using a dragonfly trinket from the Fabrications line.

To make an interesting little cluster that closed in my titlework and united the photos, I used a strip of blue paper and a chipboard tag from the collection.  I added a brad and the little number stickers.

I wanted this page to be as delicate and pretty as my daughter looked that night, especialy when she was in the arms of her daddy!

Supplies:  Sweet Afternoon Chipboard Elements 1 & 2, Sweet Afternoon Die -Cut Sheets, Just Relaxing Paper, At the Picnic Paper, In the Garden Paper, Sweet Afternoon Clear Stamps, Fabrications Trinket, Brads from Timeless and Posh, Sweet Afternoon Stickers
