An update since my last blog post...
-My daughter was indeed the swankiest foreign medieval prince at the party.
-I have a new ironing board cover.
-My husband has forbidden me from ever using iron-on adhesive again.
Today's project requires no ironing.
It's a fun little Maya Road chipboard mini album & some TC Fabrications (Canvas).
I did my book about my son Ian...but you could do a similar book about anything you like. That's the cool thing about the Canvas line. It is so versatile...it works for just about anything! :)
First, cut your cover paper to size. I used FAB106 Petite Flowers for my cover (the back too.)
The spine of the book is some old map paper. Measure the width of the spine, and score where your covers will bend. I used Quick Grip to adhere everything.
I like sanding the edges...but if you're a non-sander, it's ok. We can still be friends.
Add the 7Gypsies ruler tape to the cover where the map and cover papers meet.
Cut a piece of corrugated paper for the cover...sew messily (the kind I do best!) in two corners. I misted a cream shipping tag...and also misted my chipboard letters.
When you mist letters...it's super easy to make a huge mess. I have a small shallow box I use for misting. It is on its last leg. I put my letters on some wax paper (so they don't stick to the box...they're self-adhesive) and misted them.
Let dry and adhere to the shipping tag. I painted a wooden heart red and added it to the tag.

Adhere 'These are the days' chipboard piece with foam squares.
Then I added an old key I had laying around in a drawer. I love using stuff like that.
Voila! or Viola! Whichever you prefer...the cover is done!
The inside pages are super easy.
I used all horizontal 4x6 photos. They work well with the tabbed chipboard pages.
Just adhere your photo and cover the remaining area with a scrap of paper. It really doesn't take much. Trim the edges with an X-acto knife. Add little doo-dads (that's the fun part).
Tip: When you choose your photo...be mindful of where the tab will be, so it doesn't look like your son has half a head.
Here's a few more pages. I have the whole thing on my blog.
