Hello everyone, Stacy Rodriguez here with you today to share my December Daily that I created withSanta's List. I know it's only September, but everyone always starts to get so busy in November and December so I thought I would share this with you today so you had plenty of time to get your December Daily finished before it's time to start it!
I love chunky mini albums....and I must say this one is the chunkiest I have made, it is about 5" thick!! All of the pages inside are different sizes to make it fun. This will be a long post so sit back, grab a cup of coffee and get ready for the Holidays!
So let's start with the cover. I used Wendy Vecchi Art Parts for the covers and a couple of inside pages. I painted them white before starting to adhere paper. You can see in the pic below that I used a red cardstock base and cut the pattern paper a smidge smaller to get that red border. The cover is embellished with tons of the embellishments with this line...buttons, enamel dots, brads, chipboard stickers...you name it it's on the cover. The book is bound with binder rings and embellished with ribbon and some of Teresa's blingage I had in my stash!
Now for the day by day inside. For the dates I mixed some of the brads along with punching out the numbers from the flip side of the Music sheet paper along with number Thickers that I had.
So the first page (the inside of the cover) I created a pocket which I will place photos in along with journaling pieces. Day 2 in probably one of my favorites, I used the Santa's List Notebooks, and then used the sticky notes as dividers to jot down gift ideas, party dates or just anything really.
Day 4 was created using the file folder. I adhered the sides together to create a fun pocket page.
Day 7 is simply a page for a photo. The left side of the photo mat is not adhered down to create a spot for a journaling piece to slide into.
Day 12 below is another fun pocket page. I fussy cut out the Santa from the Postcard paper and placed him on the pocket. Day 12 I simply used one of the fabulous new decorative bags. These are perfect to insert receipts in or even photos.
Day 18 is just a perfect place for some journaling about the day. What you did, where you went, and what Holiday prep you did.
Never throw away your embellishment packaging! Day 23 was created using the fun packaging.
I created this as a December Daily instead of a countdown to Christmas. I know our family Holiday always continues after Christmas day. Sometimes there is just not enough time to see everyone on Christmas day so you can continue to document your get togethers or the fun mess that the Holiday has left behind!
Of course there is a place for that fabulous New Years Eve gatherings also.
Thanks so much for stopping by today and sticking with me through this long post. I can't wait to start using this December Daily this year.
