Hello, my name is Pam Taylor.
I love all things creative, home decor, heritage and antique items, photography, crafts of all types, digital scrapbooking and paper scrapbooking as well. I have been scrapbooking officially for over 11 years however as a child I was a gatherer and kept many items to scrapbook later in life.
I find inspiration everywhere. I love nature and its brilliant colors. You can find inspiration in old magazines and books, visiting all types of locations through travel, listening to music, learning from people you come in contact with, living life and educating yourself with life lessons learned and being an observer of life.
My scrapbook style is classical, romantic, girly, full of ephemera items, ribbons, lace, lots of blingage and beautiful flowers. I love the color combinations of cream and black, pink and brown, pink and red, soft pastels and bright happy colors.
I love babies and children. I taught first and second grade for 6 years before I had my family. My husband and I have 3 adult children and 3 grandchildren and one more to be born in August of this year. We also have 3 dogs that keep our life always busy and we never have a dull moment at our house or yard.
I take lots of time creating my pages and scrapbook projects. My creative space is very messy because I pull all kinds of cardstock, patterned papers, and lots of embellishments to find that perfect combination for that ideal scrapbook project.
I taught scrapbooking classes for 3 years at the retail store, All My Memories in Draper,
that closed about 3 years ago. I have done lots of projects for companies like Daisy D's papers, All My Memories, Graphic 45, Creating Keepsakes Kit Club on their website, and QVC projects for Lisa Bearnson. Lisa is one of my dearest friends and has been a mentor and amazing comrade to me. I am also a certified digital designer through the very talented Jessica Sprague and her awesome website of digital classes. Utah
Recently, I was asked, "What is my favorite paper line?" I responded without hesitation and an emphatic voice, Teresa Collins Designs. I tried out for the design team last year and was a finalist. I love working with Teresa's papers and elements because they are versatile and beautifully designed. I think Teresa is one of the most talented designers in the industry and one of the longest longevity in this industry. I have been a follower of hers since her days at Rusty Pickle. She talks from her heart and I think she relates to us as individuals. I am thrilled to design with her papers and I love this project that I created with Teresa's Notations Line which I recently created to honor my father's life who sadly passed away a month ago.
Thank you Pam for sharing such an inspirational book! Great to have you as a Guest Designer!
