Trick Or Treat Time

Happy Halloween everyone, Stacy Rodriguez here with you today.  I have a fun little Trick or Treat box to share with you today.  I had a box in my stash that I think a pair of earrings came in, and I thought it was the perfect size to put a few little candy bars in or even spider rings or something cute!

This is how the box turned out.

I used the Masquerade Party collection for this one.  On the lid of the box and the box itself I used the "Webs" paper the orange chevron side.  I simply cut the paper slightly smaller then the box and adhered it with Xyron Mega Runner.  For the sides of the lid I used the stripes from the "Trick Or Treat" paper.  To embellish the lid the "H" with Halloween across it is actually from the small treat bag.  I cut it down and matted it on black cardstock.  I popped this up on the upper right corner of the box.  The fun little ticket was cut from one of the borders.  I embellished it with a brad and one of the die cuts from the sheet.  Once I was done with the I tied a little solid black twine around it from The Twinery.

Haunted Mini Album By Yvonne Blair

Hi there....are you ready for Halloween?  It's almost here. We have stocked up on Candy and are ready for trick or treaters to ring the doorbell.  I love seeing all the costumes and the giggles.  

In honor of Halloween I decided to do a little mini album or brag book to capture the memories.

For the mini I used Teresa's new treat bags.  These little things are so versatile! I have used them for pages in mini's and decided why not make a mini out of the bags! It makes a perfect pocket to tuck more pics into.

I used a combination of the polka dot bags and the clear ones.  I like the idea of being able to see the inserted picture through the bag.  Each bag has a photo mat with a tab.  

 I bound the book with two inch strips by the height of the bag.  I cut those and then scored them in half so they are a one inch hinge so to speak. 

 On this page I cut one of the file folders so it could also be a fold out.  

Who doesn't love a little interactivity going on, wink.

 This is the last page.  So the bags not only served as the pages but also as the front and back cover.

Masquerade Party Layout by Dedra Long

Happy Thursday! Halloween is next week and I have to say creating this layout was a lot of fun. Every collection Teresa designs comes with a full package of border strips. Sometimes they includes glitter and cardstock borders, with this collection you get foil and cardstock borders. I had a hard time choosing which border to use because I loved them all. 

So, I decided to use them all. I took all of the border pieces out of their package and spread them out. Sorting them in a "stacked" pattern that I loved. Then repeated the pattern on each side to create a background.

I wanted to make sure the photo was the main focus of the layout and the border pattern was showcased, so I finished the layout with a simple collage of brads and a stamped tag.

"Wicked" Mini Album & Video by Cheri Piles using Masquerade Party

I am just loving this book and all of the fun inside! These papers and embellishments are AWESOME!!

The book was created using the "Your Story" book and binding system. I created all of my pages then inserted them into the hardbound book then cooked the spine which melts the pages into the spine permanently.

For my cover I included one of the larger treat bags and used the packaging for the tag! The chipboard chandelier is so fun!! The Quote is cut from one of the pages, layerd over the die cut frame and mounted on pop dots. 

I created all of my pages around the Banner paper. This is a fold out page!

I love the black foil on the Banner Letters and even on the die cut border strips! This page is one of the mini file folders from the collection.

The orange subway art is on the inside of the mini file folder. 

This page is a pocket page. I only adhered the lower part of the "L" so my orange ledger tag with black damask washi tape can pull in and out of the page. 

This is another fold out page.

 I absolutely love the banner from the die cut paper. Here is another treat bag used as well.

This is probably my favorite page because it folds out several times then has another treat bag.

Here's the first fold out, I lined up the washi tape on the front and back of the flip page which gives a really neat look. 

Here is the last fold out. I am just loving it! The tag in the "Halloween" treat bag is made from the back of the die cut border strip packaging. This page is the largest mini file folder and I just cut the top so it would fin in the book. 

This is the inside of the file folder. I love the grouping with the brad, enamel dot and die cuts. 

This is the large chipboard frame and I just cut out the wing of bat and witches wart circles from the Icons paper. The Beware cat is from the die cut sheet. 

The Brocade foiled paper is so fun!

This is another fold out page for the album. I just love the way folded pages look and that you can add more photos in your books by adding a few here or there in your books!

Like I said, I have really enjoyed creating this book! I hope you are inspired to create one of your own!

Enter If You Dare- Masquerade Party with Stacy Rodriguez

Hello everyone, Stacy Rodriguez here with you today.  I'm going to share a fun mini album I created with the spooktacular new Masquerade Party collection.  This collection is so fun I just love everything about this line. I created this album for my sister in law using their Halloween photos from last year.

Here is a view of the album itself.  I created this album using the three larger file folders, 2 of the bags, and the packaging from the bags as well.  The binding it done with the We R Memory Keepers Cinch machine and coils.  The ribbon tied on the side is May Arts ribbon that I had in my stash.

This front cover I used the small file folder and embellished it with one of the white bags, a few enamel dots, die cuts and chipboard sticker.

The inside of the cover I placed a spot for journaling.  You can see the first page inside is one of the bags.  It's such a perfect page for any mini album.  I had a few photos left over and you can see that I simply matted the photo and stuck it right in the bag!

The medium file folder is the next page.  On all of the file folders I placed adhesive along the top and bottom to create more pockets throughout the album.  There is a journaling spot behind the photo that slides out.  This is a fun way to add plenty of journaling spots in your albums.  All you do is place adhesive along the sides and bottom of the photo and it holds your journaling cards.

A Halloween party is not complete without treats!  You can even add the recipe on the journaling card, or place it inside the file folder pocket.  I loved the design on the packaging on the right side below, so I turned that into a page as well and covered the flip side with pattern paper.

The last page of the album is the largest file folder that comes in the pack.  This one is so fun and I really didn't want to cover much up so I added the photo then placed the amazing chipboard frame around it.

The entire album is embellished with all of the fabulous goodies that go with the line.  I added a few enamel dots here and there.  Mix the die cut tabs throughout your mini albums and add a staple here and there and you have one amazing mini!

Guest Designer Jennifer Haggerty using Family Stories and Masquerade collections

We are so excited to have Jennifer Haggerty on the blog today as our guest!! Here is a little about Jennifer:

Hi I'm Jennifer and I'm so excited to be a guest on the blog today!  I am currently a stay at home mom to two beautiful children. My husband helps run his family's company here in Central Illinois. I've been a licensed dental hygienist for 20 years and occasionally substitute in offices as needed. I've been scrapbooking for 15 years and love trying new trends, as the industry is always changing. 

 

 

First, I'd like to share two layouts I created with the Family Stories collection. This is one of my absolute favorites as I love the colors of this line! It is SO fun to work with!

 

 

I love layering all of the fun embellishments offered with Family Stories: from the die cuts, to the chipboard, brads, layered stickers, sequins, and enamel dots!

 

 

Next up is another layout using Family Stories called 'Loved".  The sentiments on the die cut and chipboard sheet are perfect for documenting the special someone in your life. And for me, its my husband Chris!  One of the things I really like about this line is the chipboard "people"!

 

 

Here, I layered the die cut pennants with a strip of patterned paper. I used my sewing machine to stitch through and then followed up with adding enamel dots, sequins, and die cut pieces. 

 

 

Next, I created two layouts using Masquerade! I was so excited to find out Teresa was coming out with another Halloween line (its my favorite holiday!) Masquerade has the traditional orange and black colors of Halloween but I LOVE the purple enamel dots! 

 

. 

 

 

For this first layout, I used the die cut pennants to create a fun banner across the top corner of my page. I added in some of the decorative brads, die cuts, and enamel dots to accent. 

 

 

 

 

On this layout, I used a repeating triangle pattern that I cut with my Silhouette. Some of the triangles are reversed images with the patterned paper being under the cardstock. I also stitched the edges of each with my sewing machine. 

 

 

 

 Here is a close up of the triangles:  I did add sequins to the very top and bottom triangles and stitched through with my sewing machine.

 

 

I love using small clusters of pennants on my pages. Here, I placed a few at the top, adding some gold glitter tape and one of the decorative brads.

Masquerade Halloween album-Keisha

Happy Monday! Keisha blogging today with a Halloween album using TCD's Masquerade line. I was so excited to use this line for some of my most favorite Halloween photos of my girls from 2 yrs ago. I made this whole album from scratch with a Zutter and all the cool papers & embellishments from the Masquerade line. This album was a lot of fun! Enjoy!
