Whether you're ready for it or not...it's Christmas Time! I know Thanksgiving hasn't passed but you see everywhere it's Christmas so I can't help but get into the spirit. I love Christmas. I know it's the season when the Red Cups come out at Starbucks. I just love that. The stores have all the Christmas decor decked out on their shelves, commercials with all the holiday deals and emails of great deals for holiday shopping. The excitement of putting up the Christmas tree and decorating our house with Christmas decorations. Gift giving and most of all, FAMILY. This means we all come together in celebration of Jesus Christ. When my family gets together that means tons of food. Teresa's Christmas Home collections is so simple and elegant. Such beautiful papers. I thought to get started in decorating my mantle. So I created a mini book within a frame as part of my decor which showcases details of Christmas in my life. I also wrapped a present using Teresa Collins card stock, stamp and trim. Here are the list of supplies from her Christmas Home Collection.
To make the accordion mini album, I first cut out the papers to 5x7. For the front cover I used the Happy Holidays stamp from Christmas Home stamps and stamped it on a white piece of card stock. To add color I used my color pencils then cut it out. Then adhere using pop dots to the middle of the page. Cut out the "December" label glue it just below the Happy Holidays image. Then the "25" label to just below to the right. Cut out the chandelier add bling then use pop dots to the top left of the frame. Cut out the label "MERRY" and glue mach's book plate over it then to the bottom of the frame.
Cut out strips of about 1" then score it in half. This will bind your album to make it an accordion fold. The first page won't use the 1" strip but instead cut a piece that has the word labels. Then add photos.
As for the present just wrap it using TC papers, cut out the hollies and stamp the to and from stamp to create a tag.
Well... I had fun creating this. Off to get started checking off my christmas list. I'm determined to finish my Christmas shopping early.
