Project Life - with Julie

When I heard we were doing a Project Life feature on the blog, I was so excited. :)
I am LOVING this project.  I tried it a few years ago...and made it through May.  And I'm STILL sad I didn't finish.  This time around has a different feel to it.  I am more organized.  I am excited to work on it every week.  I have a support group, lol.

Today I am sharing my week 7 of Project Life...(last week).
As it was Valentine's Day that week, I did a red/hearty theme.

I used Stationery Noted, Vintage Finds (for the key 3x4 card)...and a mixture of lots of other things.
Here's a close up of the left side:

The bigger picture is 6x8.  I Photoshopped the 'Love this girl' onto the photo.
And my mom needed a special spot in this week:

My mom is almost 87.  And last week one of my blog friends happened across a PBS video on hipsters, of all things.  AND THERE WAS MY MOM!  Right in the hipster video.
She got quite a kick out of it when I showed her.  (Although she had no clue what a hipster was).

Here's the right side:

This page was one 4x6 slot, and the rest 3x4.  I like using all kinds of stuff in my Project Life pages.  There's a vintage Valentine...a playing card (Ace of hearts, of course)...and the bottom right spot is sewn shut with confetti in it.  (Kind of like my card from last week.)

I also did a little insert page (lots of pictures last week!)  You can see that on my blog, if you'd like.
Thanks for letting me share.  Don't forget to comment every day this week for a shot at that fabulous prize pack! ;)

happy almost valentine's day!

Hi everyone!  Julie here, with a couple of cards for Valentine's Day.  (Or anytime you might want to say I love you.)

I'll start with the one on the left.  Super easy.  I used 2 - 4x6 page protectors...and trimmed off the edge with the holes.  You could use any size you'd like your card to be.  Next, choose your patterned paper and cut 2 pieces to 4x6. I stamped mine and embellished minimally, because I was adding the confetti.
Once you're done, slide it into the page protector.  Then add the confetti.

This is the fun part. :)  I used sequins (super cheap at the craft store)...and also used various sizes of hole punches.  I punched dictionary paper, glitter paper, patterned paper...everything!
Once the confetti is in (I added some to the back page as well)...sew the openings shut on both page protectors.  Then sew them together to make the card.

Ta da! :)

For the other card I used red dot side of the Polaroid paper (Stationery Noted line) as the base.  Then I cut the I love you block from the other side.

I used gray thread and stitched around the inside of the box.  Then I wrapped it in baker's twine.  Attach to the card with pop dots.  I punched a large heart, and attached that with pop dots as well.
Then just add your people and you're all set! :)

Hope you have a fabulous Valentine's Day tomorrow!
Don't forget to leave a comment today (and every day this week)...you could win a super fun prize pack.  The winner will be announced on Monday.

I Want to Always...by Keisha

Happy Monday, Keisha here with a Valentine layout using Stationary Noted line. I intended for this to have been a 8.5x11 page, and it ended up being 12x12. What I had envisioned in my head didn't work out in real life! I am happy with how my page turned out-it has been a while since I have done a scrapbook page.
I love this line for Valentine projects-it has the traditional RED mixed with the pop of baby blue. I so wanted some hearts on my page-I almost went with a heart garland. Then I thought a line of hearts popping of the page would be better! I then wanted to keep everything else really simple-so that the photo of Kiela & Lulu wouldn't get lost in too much stuff.

My First Layout of 2013

Happy Thursday everyone Stacy Rodriguez here with you today.  Hope you have all had a wonderful week so far!!  So it's my turn on the blog today and it's layout time.  I love to create projects....altered, mini albums,tags.....but layouts for some reason are a little harder for me.  It use to be the other way around for me and  I would have a hard time doing anything but layouts.  I should have made this a goal for the new year....create more layouts.

My layout for today I created using the uber cool Stationery Noted!!!  I love this line, the colors are wonderful, the design is of course beyond fabulous, and the embellishments for all of the lines are out of this world!  I think my favorite paper from the Stationary Noted is the Polaroid paper.  Don't get me wrong I totally love it ALL but I have gone through 5 sheets of this sheet alone already and it's only been out for not even a month :)

This layout is the only one I have scrapped of my daughter homecoming from this past October.

Here are a couple of close up photos for you.

On this one your can see some of the super fun embellies...buttons,enamel dots, chipboard stickers, washi tape and borders (and of course part of the polaroid paper)!!!

This next close up you can see the rockin' new flower petal shapes....how fun are those!!!!

Well thanks so much for stopping by today....make sure you get those photos out and scrap them!
