Our Family Memories Mini with Stacy Rodriguez

Good morning everyone, Stacy Rodriguez here with you today on the fabulous TCD blog!  I know you are all enjoying seeing the creations from the design team with the latest and greatest collections from Teresa.

Today I'm sharing a mini album that I created using the uber cool new line Family Stories.  I must say I'm totally digging the colors in this line not to mention all of the fun embellies!  This album I'm sharing with you today was one of them that went to CHA.  I needed pictures for this mini album so I told my sister-in-law if she gave me photos I would give her the album....that is a win win right!!  She has been anxiously waiting to see it since I couldn't share it with her before I shipped it!

Let's start with the cover.....I loved creating this cover by using the chipboard stickers and die cut pieces.  I layered a couple of the chipboard stickers on top of one another and used pop dots under a couple of them.

In this close up photo you can see that the enamel dots are the perfect accent to add anywhere!   For the flower bunch I used a die from Die-Namites called Daisy Bunch.  After I cut the pattern paper out using the die I ran it through my Xyron 5" Creative Station.  This allowed me to ensure that all of the detail pieces stuck to my cover.

This is the first page in the mini album.  The page on the left I embellished with the die cut pieces and one of the border strips.  If you look at the right hand side, you can see that when I adhered my photo mat down, I only adhered the sides and bottom to create a pocket behind the photo.  This is a fabulous place to insert journaling tags about the days events.

Another fun day in the Harvey family life was spent in Chicago at a Cubs game.  Do you ever have to many photos for a mini album?  On the right hand side of this page below you can see that I created a pocket.  I simply matted my photos and placed them in the pocket.  On the back of the photo mats is a great place to journal!

You can see another way to add another photo is to create a little hinge photo mat.  You simply just cut you cardstock a little bigger, score it and then only adhere that scored flap down.  This allows you to be able to flip that photo mat to find more photos underneath.  I also placed a journaling card there, but you could easily place another photo there instead.

The super cool envelopes are a fun way to add a little free flowing pocket into any mini album.  The binding was done with the We R Memory Keepers Cinch machine.

Supplies Used:

Xyron 5" Creative Station
Die-Namites - Daisy Bunch
May Arts - Pink ribbon

Thanks so much for stopping by the blog today!  I hope that you have enjoyed my mini album.

A Festive Fourth with Stacy Rodriguez

Happy Fourth Of July everyone!!!  I am sure that you are all enjoying time with friends and family...watching fireworks, going to parades, eating lots of yummy food and just having some quality time with each other.

In the spirit of this Holiday we thought it was only right to use the Stationery Noted collection since the colors in this line are simply perfect for today. This worked out great for me since I needed to create a card for my mother.  Her birthday was yesterday, and well if she doesn't get a handmade card I never hear the end of it!!  Here is the card that I came up with.

To create this card  the base is 4 1/4" x 5 1/2".  Cut blue pattern paper in the background was cut to 4" x 5 1/2"  and adhere to the front of your card.  I used a couple of die cuts for the scalloped shapes in the center of the card.  I adhered them together then popped them up in the center of the card.  "You are Special" & "Love" card came from the die cut sheet.  I stapled the saying onto the love card then popped that up in the center of the scallop shape.  I used the fun garland across the card and embellished it with a chipboard button, enamel dot & stick pin from my stash.  The white bow was created using seam binding.

Here are a couple of close up photos for you.

Thanks so much for stopping by the blog today. Remember to grab Stationery Noted to document all of the fun you and your families had this Fourth Of July.

Summer Stories Tag Embellishment with Stacy Rodriguez

Good morning everyone, Stacy here with you on this fabulous Friday!  I going to share a tag with you that I created using Summer Stories.  I LOVE to make tags because you can use them on so many things.  They are perfect to tie on any gift bag, add to a layout, slip them in a mini album with some journaling or photos on them.....the possibilities are endless!  If you think about it, it is kind of like making your own embellishment!

Here is what my finished tag looks like.

So to start this tag I took a Ranger manila tag #8 and simply cut the pattern paper to the size of the tag.  I placed the paper on the tag with my pink Teresa Collins Xyron Mega Runner.  I took a different pattern paper from the collection and cut it a little smaller then placed that in the center of the tag.  That is pretty much the base of the tag, and now it's just time for the fun part and make it your own by embellishing it.

So on the photo above you see the bottom of the tag.  I used the super fun camera decorative tape and wrapped it around the sides and then embellished above the tape with some enamel dots, buttons and chipboard stickers.  Toward the top of that photo you see that I cut a small boarder piece and placed that across what is the center of the tag.  I love the little bingo cards from the pattern paper and placed that there.  I added one of the brads and some flowers also.

At the top of the tag I placed a chipboard banner piece and some enamel dots.  Punched a hole in the top and tied some pretty May Arts ribbon through the top.

This is a fun way to use up your scrap pieces of paper while creating your own one embellishment for any project.

Thanks so much for stopping by, hope you have a wonderful day!

Memories Calendar Tag Album with Stacy Rodriguez

Good morning everyone, Stacy here to share a fun little project created with the Memories collection.  For this little album I used pretty much all of the pattern papers, die cut sheet, buttons, brads, chipboard stickers, decorative tape....um ok so there was nothing from this line that I really didn't use!

So to start with I'm teaching a class using the He Said She Said line, that being said when I was done kitting for my class I had all of these fabulous pieces left from the sticky notes and I thought to myself this would make a cute tag album.  I used a total of 7 of them, but you could totally do this and mix and match all of the product packaging for fun different sizes.

Let's start with what the finished project looks like.....I'm totally LOVING this!  I punched a hole in all of the pages and binded it with a binder ring, then tied some May Arts ribbon on the ring.

I'm not sure if i'm using this for this year or saving it for next year so I didn't place the date on the cover yet.

So like I said to start with I used 7 pieces of the packaging from the sticky notes.

I then cut the pattern paper 1/4" smaller then the "tag" so that there would be a border showing around the entire outside.

Now it was time for the fun part of decorating all of the pages.  In between all of the pages I cut apart the calendar page and placed them to correspond with each page so that I could do a little journaling about the photos and also place the date on them.

You can see the I did place photo mats on each page by cutting apart the tags paper which worked perfectly!  Let's take a peak at the inside...(lots of photos coming up)!

I love to wrap the decorative tape around the die cut pieces, it's just adds a fun little touch!  All of the die cut pieces and calendar pieces are not adhered to anything, so there are kind of like mini pages!

I think this page is my favorite of the album!

So there you have all of the pages.  The die cuts are also a perfect addition between pages to add fun little journaling spots and extra photo mats which of course help add bulk to your album which I of course LOVE!!  Thanks so much for stopping by today, have a fabulous one!

Summer Stories Altered Trinket Box with Stacy Rodriguez

Good morning everyone, Stacy Rodriguez here with you today.  For my project that i'm sharing with you today I have altered a paper mache oval box.  You can grab these pretty much anywhere and they are not expensive.  It's a fun, pretty way to store little trinkets or even give gifts in.

I used the new Summer Stories line for this one along with some of the embellishments.  I used a couple of other things I had in my stash as well.  Let me just tell you I love the little dress form I altered for the top of the box.

So how about we take a peak at the box itself.  Here is what the finished box looks like.  You can see I used a brad, chipboard sticker, and made the flowers with the pattern paper as well.

and a  little side view of course....I added some ribbon and string pearls around the outside of the lid.

Here are a couple of close up photos for you.

I do have a video to share with you of how I put this trinket box together, so grab your Summer Stories line and get ready!

Thanks so much for stopping by the blog today, have a wonderful day!

The Story Captured mini album with Stacy Rodriguez

Hello there everyone, Stacy Rodriguez here with you today.  I know you have all seen the new mid release Summer Stories.....it is FABULOUS!!  The colors are so soft, the design is of course AMAZING, and the embellishments are totally rocking!

For my project today I made a mini album.  I used photos of my daughters homecoming for this one and simply adore how it turned out.  Some of the base pages are made with thick black chipboard mixed with the Summer Stories File Folders for a fun cool look.

We will start with the cover and a couple of close up photos.

As you can see from this view there is a lot of layering and I also popped up alot of the elements on the cover. On the cover you will find the die cuts, chipboard stickers, brads & stamping.

On the binding I have lots of fun blingage hanging with ribbon... and what about the decorative tape along the bottom!!  LOVE IT!

The stamp set that goes with this line is what I used in the upper right corner of the cover.

Now for a few peaks at the inside! I love how you can use the file folders and turn them into cute pockets!

This has to be one of my favorites pages in the album.  The page below on the left had a cute picture of my daughter with her friends.....

The photo of her friends is on a little hinge and when you open it this is what is under it!

I have a fun little video going through the album if you would like to take a peak of the entire album.  Here is a link to my youtube channel.

Thanks so much for stopping by the blog today, let me know what you think!  Have a wonderful day!

Make sure you visit the Design Team Blog this Saturday on National Scrapbooking Day. We are giving away a Collection pack from the new line Summer Stories!!

He Said Mini Album with Stacy Rodriguez

Hey there Stacy Rodriguez here with you today.  I love to create mini albums.  I would have to say that they are my favorite project to work on.  I created this mini album using the He Said collection.  Here is a pic of the cover to start with.

For this album I wrapped the cover in some burlap that I had and then simply embellished to cover with some of the die cut pieces from this line.  I hung lots of goodies from a swivel clasp on the side.  Now lets take a look inside.  I love pockets, photo mats and journaling spots in my mini albums.

I used pretty much everything from the collection...decorative tape, chipboard stickers, die cuts, sticky notes, enamel dots....you name it it's in there!

Well thanks for stopping by today and hope that you enjoyed my mini album!  Have a wonderful day.
