"A Bold Pop" Layout by Stacey Michaud

Everyone is head over heels for the Spring Fling collection by Teresa!  It is a bold line full of whimsy and fun!  I appreciate it for the tonal patterns that can be layered, and there is a cool green in the line that is unique.

I tend to scrap the way that I dress.  Mostly solids and neutrals with some burst of pattern.  I like to keep it interesting without going over the top.  Think both outfits and scrapbooking pages.

For this layout about my daughter, I went with a neutral stripe for the background and added touches of the pretty patterns.  That butterfly paper is so happy!

The design of the layout is simple as I used vertical strips of paper on either side of the photo.  I grounded the bottom by using the red polka dot.  The banner ties both sides of the layout together.  It was super easy to make using this patterned paper:

See those circles from the Big Dots sheet of paper?  I cut five of them out using scissors.  I then folded them in half.  I placed a bit of glue along each fold and ran a piece of twine through, creating the banner! Handmade banners allow you to customize them to fit your page needs.

Did I mention the chipboard in the collection?  Love it!  Finishes off a page like a shiny bracelet completes an outfit!

Does your scrappy style match your fashion sense?  How will you translate that to a page today?

"Mix it up" Layout by Jamie Harder

I love how versatile Teresa Collin's collections are and how easily you can mix and match the lines!  On this layout, I used the Everyday Moments collection and then mixed in a bit of Spring Fling for some added colour!

I am really loving using sketches to stretch my creativity and for this layout I used a sketch from My Creative Sketches.  I would LOVE to see how you use your Teresa Collin's papers using this sketch!

Journal book by Cheri Piles using Spring Fling and TC Stampmaker

I love the new Spring Fling Collection. I had a little journal book and gave it a book cover wrap. Then added a few of the die card embellishments and die card stickers.

As I was creating this little journal book I decided I needed some tabs. Then I decided that I would really like to have words that fit perfectly into the white space for the tabs.... Then of course because my juices were flowing I needed a cute little banner to use with my new words and a new journal spot...

One of the things I love most about having my own stamp machine is that I can create a set of stamps in just moments. Stamps that I want or need for a particular project all at hand at a moments notice.

I love how I was able to dress up my new little journal!

Playing with Cricut Craft Room project by Colette

Hey- have you been playing in the Cricut craft room?   I hope so-- I sure have!  It is an amazing online studio and I have been cutting so many things with the Cricut MINI!  I am just loving this EASY process -- you can cut out anything!!!
So the deal is ...  I was making some tags with Teresa's Spring Fling line ...

Lickety-split, you can cut several with just a quick few clicks in the Craft room studio-- sizing them to what you want - and then hitting the CUT button!  The MINI is just awesome!
It was fast and amazing- 12 little adorable tags for a project I was making!!  Turned out great!!
After peeling up all the tags and using them-- I had a Wonderful Left-over!  Here's how I used it!!

The left-overs got transformed into a background for my layout!   I love how I got to decorate all the tags in a different way - using the great elements in Spring Fling's line.  Some of these spaces, I used the tag I had cut out and just turned it over and the coordinating paper looks amazing!  I made these dimensional with Pop Dots.  This Spring Fling Line has cute buttons and butterflies, also!  Some extra added Felt pieces, and lace trim give each tag it's own personality!!
Just a word of encouragement-- don't throw away the left-overs-- sometimes they can be transformed  into cuteness !!!

Head on over to the Cricut Craft Room and see all the cuteness YOU can create!

Sweet Memories by: Sesil Cratin

Sesil here to show a quick and fun layout using the Spring Fling Collection. I love the versatility of this line.
My picture has some pink in her shirt but the papers were able to bring that GIRLY side out of my oldest daughter.

  • First I trimmed the cream card stock to 11.5x11.5" and mounted it to the red card stock
  • Adhered the dictionary paper to the right hand side of the layout.
  • Tearing the colored damask pattern paper on either side of the strips of paper adhere them to under the dictionary paper.
  • Add the pink stripe strip of paper (2"x12") to the layout
  • Layer stickers and die-cut shapes to create the "Sweet Memories" Collage and the "Smile" collage then add the clusters to the layout.
  • Using Foam Squares add the flower embellishments to the layout.
  • Add your picture
  • add rhinestones to the layout.
  • Add your own personal touches to your layout and you have a quick and easy layout.

This was a quick and easy layout that I completed in less than one hour.  Go out and have fun with your layouts. There is no right way or wrong way to creating your layouts.  Please make sure to check back to see what the other girls are creating with the new collections from Teresa Collins Designs.  Till next time!! Keep on creating!

Spring Fling "Bloom Card" by: Sesil Cratin

"Bloom Card"
Featuring Teresa Collins Design Spring Fling Collection

I love the versatility of the Spring Fling Collection.  I was able to use my 6x6 pad to create this quick and easy card. The base of my card was an embossed piece of card stock I ran through my Cuttlebug using one of the embossing folders. Next,  I simply rounded the corners of the 2x2 piece of "Big Flowers" paper in the paper pad.  Added the Mixed Brocade (back) as a thick ribbon. I used foam squares to adhered the Die Cuts to the card.  The Rhinestones were a perfect touch to give my card enough BLING.

Hope you enjoyed my quick and easy card using Spring Fling.  The weather here in Utah is a bit cold so I am excited to have a little bit of SPRING in the house.  Even if it is just a little card. Make sure to check back to get inspired to live a creative life.  Till next time....put that SPRING FLING into good use in your next crafting project.

Love by Dedra Long

For this layout I wanted to work with the Spring Fling Collection. As I was working with all of the gorgeous papers, I realized my palette looked like traditional Valentine colors. Realizing that love means different things at different times, this layout is now one of my favorites.
Our oldest daughter turns 16 in a couple of months and it has been more difficult than I thought to let go a little bit. The fact is our girls are the loves of our life. So, even though Valentine's Day is over and this layout is not about my husband and I, that's ok.

I used one full 12" x 12" sheet of paper as my foundation, used a corner rounder on the edges for a softer look. Added some red splatter inside and in the splatter I added some rhinestones. Then I cut three coordinating pieces of patterned paper so I could layer one on top of the other.

I found a journaling card from the Documented Collection and layered that next to the photo. I took a die cut circle at cut it in half and put that on the other side of the photo for balance. Last I added a felt flower. Thanks for stopping by!

Spring Wreath using SPRING FLING by Amanda Jones

Well, it doesn't look like we're going to get any snow where I live this year (I LOVE SNOW!) so I'm more than happy for spring to hurry up and make an appearance. With this in mind, I pulled out some goodies from the Spring Fling line and set to work on making a colourful wreath for my front door.

It was simple to make but I love how it turned out! I'm ready to see the spring flowers arrive now :) Here's how I made it...

I used my Cricut to cut out the background ring from some pink cardstock. If you don't have a die-cutting machine you can just draw around 2 plates to create the same shape. Then I selected several patterned papers and hand cut some simple leaf shapes. They are not neat or precise, and some are smaller than others - I wanted a natural look rather than them all being uniform.

Once I had cut enough leaves to cover the wreath, I gently folded each leaf down the centre, lengthways, to add dimension. Then I grabbed some adhesive - I used a quick drying wet glue, but glue dots would be good, too. Starting on the inside of the wreath, using smaller leaves, I dabbed a dot of glue on one end of the leaf and attached it to the cardboard ring. I continued adding leaves, overlapping, all the way round the inside of the ring. Next, I added another line of leaves, offset against the first circle, in the middle of the wreath, making sure to cover as much of the background cardstock as I could. I repeated this again with the largest leaves around the outside of the wreath.

I had originally intended to leave it as it was, just leaves, but once I had finished I decided it needed a little extra spring-infusion! I cut some of the large flowers from one of the papers and clustered them together on the wreath, adding a die-cut flower to the topmost one. I finished them off with blingage gems for a little extra sparkle!

So there you have it! A little bit of Spring for my door :)

Thanks for visiting today!

Happy Valentines Day!! Card Making with the Teresa Collins Spring Fling & Stampmaker free downlaod

I love Valentines... ok, truth: I love the chocolate that comes along with the day!

Making fun little valentines cards is pretty fun too!

The January free monthly download was full of fun little valentine stamps to create with and is what I used to create the card. Click on the above link for the free pdf monthly download or go directly to the TC Stampmaker website to obtain your free copy.

First you will want to create all of your stamps as I did below:

Then you will want to create all of your layers:

  • The white base stamped with "I love you" border measures 5 3/4 x 5 3/4
  • I then cut a paper bag 4 3/4 x 4 3/4 using a wavy blade trimmer stamped the hearts and the large I {heart} U in the upper left and centered it onto the white base.
  • I cut a 1 1/2 strip of burlap and create a folded banner and glued a 4 inch scallop circle from the new Teresa Collins Spring Fling collection paper: houndstooth
  • I stamped the tag "will you be my valentine?" onto a book page and trimmed edges, added ribbon and some bling to the top of the tag.
  • I cut a 2 1/4 inch scallop circle from the TC Spring fling line paper: mixed brocade (side B - dots) then stamped the outlined stiched heart onto it adhearing using 3D foam squares.
  • I stamped the "xoxo" strip onto white and folded around one of Teresa Collins "Ali's Pins" and adhered behind the heart.
  • I created little tags from cream craft paper and stamped "QT" & "Kisses", I stapled "QT" with some white ribbon, layered on top of the bottom of the scallop heart. I slid "Kisses" under the lower right of the scallop heart and added a gem.
  • Adhere your creation onto a black 6 x 6 card and your done!
