Me Mini by Yvonne Blair

Hi everyone! Really excited to be back and sharing this mini featuring Teresa's new Hello My Name Is collection! This collection is fabulous! I love love love the color pallet. To me it is chic and elegant with a little fun thrown in!
So here is the mini below.
The album itself is a pre-made album from Basically Bare.
I took the coil out and covered the pages with paper from Hello My Name Is.
I like the papers to go from edge to edge, so if you are easy and remove the coil carefully, after you are done covering, you can re punch the holes and put the album back together.

Below you can see the Sunday-Saturday, that was done with one of the new essentials stencils and Teresa's Modeling Paste.  Let me just say LOVE LOVE LOVE this paste!
It is so fun and easy...you will LOVE the dimension it gives you!
More Modeling Paste below.  Layers were added on top of the paste for added dimension.
I cut the Polaroids out one by one from one of the Hello My Name Is papers.
You get so much bang for your buck that way.
Below I cut Six Polaroids and kept them together for a place to add some daily pictures.
The little "hello" piece is from the new wood embellishments...so cool....can't get enough of those.

Another new embellishment added to the Teresa Collins Collections are the fun flip ups...
It is featured below and staggers as it flips up.  So cool!
It makes for a great place to tuck and hide journaling or pictures.

These are the last two pages.  I used the new heart stencil in the Essentials line and added the design with paste to the transparency...such a fun way to make a peeking page.

A little closeup of the cover so you can see the dimension and layers.
These new collections have some fun new features.

Hope you enjoyed todays Mini Album...I will be back next time with a frame all dressed up with the Modeling Paste! Oh am I excited to share that one!

Altered box tutorial with Cheri Piles using the new collection Hello My Name Is collection by Teresa Collins

Hey everyone!! I am so excited to share this with you today!! This is a little project I made for the CHA booth using the new collection "Hello My Name Is".  I've had a lot of people ask me what my favorite of the new collections is and that's a hard one to answer because I LOVE them all for different reasons.

This collection inspires me to share my story. This project I made is for my daughter to share her story, where she is now in life and I can't wait for her to write in it!!

FIRST, I want to share with you how I MADE this box into a book!!

ok, so I'll start from left to right - the first photo shows you that it is a craft colored, Graphic45 matchbook box. They come in three sizes and this is the middle sized one (8x8). The second photo shows the box that slides out and I cut the left side off!! Then I just cut the right side of the frame on the outer box which allowed it to open. NOW when you SCORE the left side you need to know that this will become your "SPINE", don't cut all of the way through as it will ruin it so go slooooooow and take your time. And last but not least create a template for your binding rings. I cut a strip the same height as the box and then folded it in half and used my cinch to create the holes where they needed to be. Then I spray painted it all in bright white. YOU could cover it in paper, mod podge it, what have you. Right now I'm just loving white paint on everything so there ya go! :)

So now you need to figure out how to fasten it closed. Starting from top left - I used one of the foam squares from the Teresa Collins Adhesive kits Those black foam squares are super dense so they are perfect for this!! So poke a hole where you want your "knob" add a foam square to one of the largest brads - by adding the foam square it will give the brad some height and because the legs of the brad are so long it will go through both the foam and the cover as shown in picture two (top right). Ok, so now you need to adhere your ribbon to the inside of the outer box line it up with your knob so it will close correctly. Then Adhere the smaller box on top of your ribbon lining up the top and bottom of the boxes evenly. Now when you close the book you can wrap the ribbon around your knob!

I loved the "words" paper so I cut strips and used them as my "staple" throughout this book. Have you seen the new photo overlays????? I love the sayings on them!! I added one of the new GEMS on the decorative tape. This page is actually 12" wide - I folded it to create a flap page!

This is the flap page. I cut a strip of journal cards and added them to the flap page by folding them then tied them together. So when untied, they fold out like an accordion.

Here is the page all folded out - I used a photo on the back of the flap then added a journal card and ephemera piece on the side I am going to have her journal.

This is one of the new 4 x 6 journal cards from the "love" paper - I love these!! I added some decorative tape to the left and a clear gem to the top center of it, So so simple!

Ok, at first glance you may not recognize ALL that you are looking at here so I'm going to point it out... That is a 5x7 photo overlay, but I ONLY had a 4x6 photo! Well, no  problem they don't have to be only for your photos. I added a piece of card stock to my page, added my photo then added my photo overlay. (sorry, It's hard to photograph them!)

This is the back page and I love all of the layers for journaling!!

I think this is my "FAVORITE" overlay!! ok, pun intended! Seriously though I do LOVE it!!!

I thought this was a fun page to share - the top paper is called "tags" and the bottom paper is called "Polaroids". Again - a great place to add more photos if you like or just use as journaling spots.

Here's another page with an accordion tag fold out tied with ribbon. I liked all of the layers in this book!! I hope you are as inspired as I am!!

When you are all done with your pages use your template from earlier to punch your pages. Add your cinch rings from the inside down on the right side of holes and up on the left, add your pages then pinch them together and your done!!

You can see here how the spine looks! So, go create one of your own! They are a fun to make and it's something you will treasure!!

Christmas Magic Mini Album by Yvonne Blair

Hey there everyone!!!

Can you believe it's Christmas Eve???
I can't!
I am ready...which is not normal...usually I'm running around trying to finish it off at this time.  Wink.
But not this year!!! I'm done!!!
Anyways...on to the project!
This is a really quick and easy mini album that would be great to give a grandparent, family member, or friend to capture their Holiday memories.
For the cover cut a piece of Santa's List to 10 x 12.
Score at 5 3/4 from each edge.
 Crease on Score lines.
This will create the "spine" of the book.

 Cut  Five different Santa's List paper to 10 x 11 1/2.
Fold in half and adhere each page back to back.
Once you get all the pages adhered, then adhere them to the cover.
It should be a perfect fit and the spine should fit the folded edges.

 Embellish as seen in pictures.

I hope you all enjoyed this mini, but most of all I hope you all have a very Merry and Safe Christmas and Holiday Season.  It will be 2014 next time I see you here. SO Happy Happy New Year as well!!!
Until next year, hehehe.
Oh and I have another fun project over on my blog featuring the TC eBosser!

Festive Notebook: Santa's List

Hello everyone and Happy Thanksgiving!!  I hope you have a had an amazing time with your families enjoying good food!

Today I have a fun festive little project for you.  Yes tomorrow is the big day!!  Black Friday, I for one am not going out to shop, but will be working instead.  Today I wanted to share a fun little book that you can make and simply place it in your purse.  After every stop you can write down what gifts you picked up or even idea or simply what gifts you still have to grab.

For this project I used the super fun Santa's Listcollection.  Let me tell you those stitched notebooks are a fabulous way to go with this project.

You can see that the borders, chipboard stickers, enamel dots and die cuts are simply perfect for decorating this notebook!!

Across the bottom I layered a couple of the border strips, but I didn't want to cover up the Santa in the corner.  I also popped up the love snowflake diecut along with the Gifts diecut over the top.  The enamel dots are so much fun, you can simply add them anywhere!

I placed grouplings of the embellishments toward the top also.  I didn't want to make this to bulky since I plan on placing this in my purse so I kept it clean and simple!

Supplies Used:
Teresa Collins - Santa's List collection
Xyron - Mega Runner

Thanks so much for stopping by today, I hope you are having a fabulous Thanksgiving day!

Yvonne Blair Gratitude Journal featuring Memorabilia

Hi everyone! Can you believe Thanksgiving is this week???
I am so excited because I am hosting Thanksgiving dinner this year!
It is the first time.
We will be having my whole in-law family here for dinner.
I am a little nervous, but I think it will all be just fine, wink.
In honor of Thanksgiving I created this little Gratitude Journal.
I wanted to be able to have a small book that I could slip into my scrapbook with the traditional scrapbook
two page spread.  Now I can contain everything within that spread.  Love that.
I will put it in between the two page layout using a page protector that I cut down to size and then sealed with Decorative tape from the Memorabilia line.  It really is neat to be able to customize page protectors doing this.  I use this technique quite often actually.
The book itself is 4 1/4 x 9 3/4.  It will fit nicely in a pocket page protector.
I cut three of the Memorabilia papers to 8 1/2 x 9 3/4, folded them in half and adhered them back to back.
I covered the spine with Memorabilia Decorative tape to finish it off.

Above there is a fold out where I can add some hidden journaling.
I love using Teresa's envelopes as a place to stick extra embellishments, but it is also a great place to be able to write and tuck some more personal feelings.
This is where I will add pics from the day that are not included on the two page layout.
I plan on using my instax camera alot on Thanksgiving and this will be a great place to tuck those pics.

Here is a little close-up of the front cover.  I like the layers.  The stamps are from Teresa's line she did with Fiskars that is selling at Joann's.  Love this set.  Perfect for this time of year!
I have  a couple of other quick little projects that I will be sharing over on my blog.  Just click here to check them out!
Thanks for stopping by and I hope you all have a very very Happy Thanksgiving!

Stitched journal book "Giving Thanks" using Memorabilia by Cheri Piles

I can't even begin to tell you how excited I was to make this one, I am going to use it at Thanksgiving to pass around the table for my family to write in and document what they are most thankful for this year. I think it will be fun to look back on. Everyone in our family has had some significant change this year in their lives and it will be a good reminder to all of us.
On the cover I dolled it up with some of the gold sequins and stitched them in place. I then added the "Memories" from the die cut sheet and layered the letters over each other attaching to the back of the cover then added the border strip and my title "Giving Thanks 2013" from the sticker sheet.

I covered the back of the memories die cuts with washi tape and layered another strip from the die cut borders. I added the calendar from the die cuts and tied a string through the star button to highlight Thanksgiving day. The second page can be used for journaling.

I LOVE the sticky notes and this was a perfect project to line them up like a border on the right. I then layered more washi tape and added black sequins. I just love the look of it!! The sticky notes hang over the page about a half an inch.

This is one of my favorite pages. I love the washi tape frame around the silhouettes.

Here's a little tip for the frame: Use your ruler to get a crisp tear line for your frame, it gives it a clean look.

I inserted this "Flap" page a a tag and added "thankful" to the inside of it. You can write on the front with a white pen.

I added pocket pages and tags for extra journaling or photo's.

I love this grouping, the larger banner is half of one of the die cut border strips.

On the left I added another flap page, attaching it to the book with washi tape so it flips open as well. I loved the look of the sticky notes so much I had to have another page incorporating more!

Last but not least... Another grouping that I LOVE.... "Remember this time together".
Family is so important and this Thanksgiving we will share our thoughts and dreams and what we are all so greatful for, being with one another.

I hope you are inspired to create something meaningful as well.
