Project Life with Jamie Harder

How many of you are doing Project Life this year?  I am so excited to join in the fun this year!  Today I am sharing a week from my life that I enjoyed VERY much...a week in Mexico!

I used the He Said She Said collection because I loved the color combination!  I love how easy it was to cut out a few of the cards from the Notecards patterned paper to put in the middle slots.  Since I had so many photos...I added more on top of several of these!

The die cuts were my go to embellishment.  I didn't want to bulk up my page too much so these were perfect for just the right touch.  Here is a close-up of my first page:

Yes that is me parasailing!  I crossed off a few things on my "bucket list" on this trip:-)  And now here is a close-up of the second page:

Such a super trip and I am so happy to add this week to my Project Life book easily with Teresa's beautiful collection.  I hope you are having a beautiful start to this week!

Don't forget we are having giveaway's all month long. Be sure to leave a comment everyday this week for a chance to be in on the goodies! Here is this weeks prize pack 6x6 paper pad, the new photo corners and the new envelopes:

Favorite Pose layout by Jamie Harder using the New Memories collection

I absolutely LOVE to take pictures and what makes that even more fun is when my daughter's actually WANT to be photographed!  Perfect combo!  My youngest is such a little model these days.  She gets right into it and suggests all sorts of different poses!  Too funny.  Lately she is all about the lying down with her hands on her face!  And I am enjoying this while it lasts...my oldest runs when I take my camera out ... HA!  But no worries, I am not above bribery!

I have fallen head over heels for the new Memories collection.  I started this layout knowing that I HAD to use the garland.  So fun!  And the envelopes...the perfect way to tuck all those "extras"!!!  Here is a close up:

Everything about this collection is amazing!  Even the packaging... the wood grain piece on the left of my picture is the packaging...so don't throw it away..wink*

The patterns on these papers are wonderful and perfect for cutting into!  I cut out the film strip paper to six since my daughter is six years old.  I also cut out the circles from the Memories dot paper, adding dimension dots to one and a brad to the other.  And to finish it off, a button and another brad for good measure!

I can't wait to see how YOU use the Memories collection!!!

2SweetGirls Now & Then layout by Jamie Harder

How did it become Monday already?  I don't know about you but to get out of the Monday blues I have just been tuning in to what is happening at CHA right now...new scrapbooking product always puts me in a good mood:-)   Have you checked out the Teresa Collins booth?  It  looks AMAZING!  And I can NOT wait to get my hands on all the new collections!  Until then, I am happily playing with my Now and Then collection:

You know when you LOVE everything about a collection and want to use it all at once?  That is definitely how I feel about Now and Then.  So I went a little crazy and used an assortment of brads, chipboard pieces and the enamel dots to fill up one of my paper hearts.  So fun!

So thankful

As Thanksgiving approaches, I am feeling very blessed and grateful for all the good in my life....(ok technically since I live in Canada, I already celebrated Thanksgiving...but it doesn't hurt to keep being grateful!  And maybe, someone will cook me a turkey?  Anyone? hee hee)

I decided to pull out my Now and Then collection and make a "so thankful" card.  It is a super simple card to make that I might just have to replicate it many times and send it off to all the wonderful people in my life!

Here is how I made it:
1. Use a 4.25 x 5.5 white cardstock base.  Round the corners on the bottom.
2. Trim two pieces of patterned paper to 4 x 2.75.  Adhere them together (one side will be slightly wider than the other).  Wrap twine around and adhere to the back, attach brad, then adhere the whole piece to the cardstock.
3. Add paper flower diecut..curling the edges up a bit for dimension.  Adhere a button the the middle.
4. To finish off, add sentiment sticker (I used pop dots for extra dimension) and an enamel dot (love these!!).

I wanted to make a special card for my sweet husband so he knows how grateful I am to have him in my life!

Have a wonderful holiday!

Card Craze

Do you ever find that you suddenly get into a card-making groove?  That was me this past week...I seriously could not stop myself.  Today I am sharing three that I made using the Tell Your Story collection.  I knew when I saw the Tell Your Story: Butterfly patterned paper with all the wonderful quotes on it that it would be perfect for cards!

Here is my first card:

And another one with a beautiful sentiment cut out from that same paper:

And for my third card, I used the fabulous chipboard quote:

I was thinking I might make a few more and give card sets as gifts this year for Christmas!  Off to make more cards!  Thanks for stopping in!

Xyron and Teresa Collins Designs - Day 4

Are you ready for Day 4
First lets check out this amazing layout from Jamie Harder.

We love Jamie's simplistic style with just enough pow to enjoy the layout.
THANK YOU JAMIE!

Next up we have STACY RODRIGUEZ:

Hello everyone, Stacy here today sharing my creation using Teresa's Tell Your Story line of course with all of the AMAZING embellishments that go with this line and the fabulous Xyron products.

So you should all know that i'm a mini album and altered project girl....these are my two favorite things to create.  For this project I created a fun mini album with a super cool way to use twine to bind your album.  You also may want to head out to hubby's shed or garage and if he has any drywall mesh grab it, run to your studio and hide it cause you are going to want to keep it!!!

Okay so let's start with a photo of the complete cover. For the cover I cut two pieces of chipboard and cut the pattern paper to the same size.  I corner punched the two outside corners of both the chipboard and paper then ran the pattern paper through the Xyron Creatopia which makes this super fast and an easy way to adhere your paper to anything. I used the Xyron 510 or my fabulous Teresa Collins 150 for all of the smaller pieces.

I will also give you a little close up pic for you to see all the detail on the cover.

Now for the fun binding technique...I did not come up with this technique but do have a utube video to share of Marion Smith walking you through this so YES you to can also give this a shot.  You can pause the video anytime to make sure you get it just right and believe me I did my far share of pausing :)  The inside of this album contains 11 pieces of pattern paper 12" x 8" in size and folded in half....so yes that is 22 pages for you to save all of those great memories!  The chipboard cover is 8 1/2" x 6 1/2".

A close up of the binding.

This is what the inside of your pages will look like of course before you do all of your creating.

Here is the link to the utube video for you :)

I'm using this album for photos of everything that my daughter and her friends have done which is why this is My Story 2012.

Thanks so much for stopping by today and I hope that you give this a try.  It would be a fabulous way to document anything!
