Featured Fan Friday!

Happy Friday!  And happy last day of August!  

Today I wanted to share a couple of amazing projects with you.  You just never know who you'll find on the 2Peas gallery...  Her name is Robin Shakoor...and she absolutely ROCKED some Tell Your Story!

"My name is Robin Shakoor and I love all things Teresa Collins!  I live in the beautiful state of Virginia with my husband, daughter, sweet puppy and 3 parrots.  We are a creative family and we love to decorate and create every chance we get.  I have a stressful career in Human Resources and crafting is my creative escape.

I have been a paper crafter since 2008, specializing in layouts, cards, mini albums and tags.   I love working with all types of media and I always push myself to learn something new.  It is hard for me to describe my style, but I love working with classic designs where I can add a touch of elegance.

I am honored to be featured today and I am ever so grateful to Teresa Collins and her magnificent team."

Oh my goodness...what a little cutie! :)

From Robin..."Using a template, I pierced a circle design, then hand stitched a circle in the center of my page.  I stamped two butterflies on vellum, trimmed and added them to my page.  I used the coordinating stamps to create a frame around my page.  I also added a stamped sentiment to the mat of my smaller photo."  Love this Robin!

Wow!  Is it just me, or did July totally fly by?  

Eeks, before you know it, the first day of school will be here!  I do confess to having bought school supplies already.  I just can't resist that stuff...

I hope you are having a lovely summer!  My kids just (finally!) got out of school this week.  Now we are waiting for the sun to come out, so it can really feel like summer. :)

It's Friday!

Woohoo!  And it's a special Friday for me...my son graduates from High School this evening.
I have all kinds of butterflies in my stomach...all kinds of emotions. :)  He is so ready though...it's hard to be too sad.

Today I want to share some beautiful work all the way from Japan! :)

Meet Kanako...she lives in Tokyo with her husband and 2 sons.

Look what she did with the On the Edge line!

I love that she took a 'boyish' line...and then added flowers and bling. :)

And what a great picture too.

Here again...boyish line...with ruffles and flowers.

And it works beautifully!

Hi, my name is Lisa Dorsey and I am thrilled to be the featured fan this week.  I have been scrapbooking for about 15 years and doing scrapbook design work for about the last 7 years.  I go back and forth between card making and scrapbooking, with an emphasis on scrapbooking lately.  I have been happily married for almost 17 years and have two girls.  My work varies between bright & colorful and soft & pretty, depending on my mood.  That is why I have fallen in love with so many of the papers and embellishments from Teresa Collins.  There are so many great designs to pick from that I find myself going back to them time and again.

Hello, my name is Jennie Harper and I am so excited to be the Feature Friday Fan.   I live in North Carolina with my husband and 3 children and have been paper crafting for the past 7 years.  Everyday Moments was my first 6x6 paper pad from Teresa Collins and also the first pad I have ever used in its entirety!  LOVE that!!  As a predominant card maker, I find the reduced scale perfect for cards and just received the new Sweet Afternoon 6x6 pad and Die-cut Accessory sheet and looking forward to creating with it soon.

woohoo! It's Friday!

It's Friday...already!  I know a week is a week...7 days....there's no speeding it up or slowing it down.

But for some reason, this week flew by for me.  Do you ever have that?

I envy those who can make such cards.  I am more of a layout-mini book girl.  Even my kids know it.
I was looking at pictures of Betsy's cards...and my daughter Belle came up and said (you know, all gaspy and dramatic, as she's 12)..."Did YOU make those???"
And I said no...another lady did.
To which she replied, "Oh.  I didn't think you had THAT card-making ability."
Not in a mean way or anything...Just like, geez mom...if you could make cards like that I sure didn't know about it.
Aren't children great?

Suzanne made this card for the Retrosketches Challenge.   Here's a bit more about her...

Hi everyone! My name is Suzanne and I'm a 30-something crafty girl born and raised in the Boston area, where I currently live with my husband and our dog.  By day, I work as a cancer researcher in biostatistics, specifically for lung and ovarian cancers, and by night I spend most of my time making a mess in my stamping room.

I received my first handmade card when I was in the 2nd grade. I still remember how special I felt when it arrived, which is probably what motivated me to start papercrafting many years later in 2005. Since then, I have scrapbooked big events like my wedding and travel, but I have mostly focused on cards after meeting two other card-makers at my local stamp store. This hobby is the perfect stress release for me, and I cherish so many of the friends I've made as a result of it.

I love working with brightly colored patterned papers and sparkly embellishments, and I am very excited to have my card featured on the Teresa Collins blog today because hers are some of the best.

It's Friday! Whoop! Time to feature someone's lovely Teresa Collins project.  It was not an easy task to pick just one but we finally came to an agreement. So with out further adieu I would like to introduce Irene Tan this weeks featured fan:
